The “Unique” Sacandaga River

The Sacandaga River is one of the most unique Whitewater Rivers in the Northeast.  With beautiful scenery, big and warm water, 7 day a week release schedule, this Dam Controlled river provides just the right amount of excitement and fun!  This 4 mile section begins at the base of the Stewarts Lake Dam and ends as it flows into the historic Hudson river. Two fun rapids with large waves and warm water guarantee everyone gets soaked and have big smiles on their faces! There is even a great area to get out and float along next to the raft if you would like. Wild Waters guides are trained to steer the raft safety down the river so everyone can have an enjoyable time. Whether you have a family with children ages 5+ or a bachelor party looking for some thrills our guides will cater the trip to meet your expectations. Still have questions?
